Grand Opening Day 5 Local Spirits Tasting Recap at Spirit Shop of Annapolis 🥂✨

Our final day of Grand Opening celebrations at Spirit Shop of Annapolis was truly special! From 2-6pm, we showcased local treasures from Gray Wolf Distilling of St. Michael’s, Maryland, and the Eastern Shore Bloody Mary Mix Bartenders Blend from Severna Park, MD. Here’s a recap of the delightful tasting event:

**Featured Spirits:**

🐺 Solera Rye:

- Description: A unique rye whiskey crafted using the solera aging method for a harmonious blend of flavors.

- Tasting Notes: Rich and complex with notes of caramel, vanilla, and spice, leading to a smooth and balanced finish.

🐺 Lobo Blue Agave Spirit:

- Description: A beautifully crafted spirit made from 100% blue agave, offering a taste of Mexico with a local touch.

- Tasting Notes: Crisp and clean with hints of citrus, floral notes, and a touch of earthiness. Perfect for sipping or cocktails.

🐺 Timber Sassafras Rested Gin:

- Description: This unique gin is rested in sassafras barrels, imparting distinctive flavors and aromas.

- Tasting Notes: Herbal and woody with a hint of sassafras sweetness, balanced by juniper and citrus undertones.

🐺 Lone Single Malt Vodka:

- Description: A smooth and refined vodka made from 100% malted barley, showcasing craftsmanship and quality.

- Tasting Notes: Clean and crisp with subtle grain sweetness, making it perfect for cocktails or sipping neat.

Recipe Ideas:

Lone Greyhound

2 oz Lone Vodka
8 oz fresh Ruby Red Grapefruit juice

-mix vodka and juice in a glass over ice. That’s it! So simple and delicious.

Timber Grapefruit Spritz

1.5 oz Timber gin
4 oz fresh Ruby Red grapefruit juice
5 oz Prosecco
top with seltzer water (optional)
grapefruit slice & sprig of thyme for garnish

-fill wine glass with ice; pour in Timber gin followed by grapefruit juice; top with Prosecco (& seltzer water if desired). Garnish with grapefruit slice and thyme.

Lobo Paloma

2 oz Lobo Agave Spirit
4 oz fresh Ruby Red grapefruit juice
0.5 oz fresh lime
1 teaspoon sugar
seltzer water to top
grapefruit slice and kosher salt for garnish

-rim glass with kosher salt; combine grapefruit juice, lime juice, & sugar in glass; stir until sugar dissolves. Stir in Lobo, add ice, & top with seltzer. Garnish with grapefruit wedge.

The tasting event was a wonderful opportunity for our community to discover and enjoy these exceptional local spirits. The added special offer of $2 off all Gray Wolf Distilling products were a big hit, with many guests taking advantage of this fantastic deal.
